Its been quite a busy week in St.Louis.
There have been a ton of trades and we've seen many fan favorites shipped away. (shattenkirk, berglund, ect.) However, to get some new talent you have to give some away. Let's take a look at the new faces and whose rumored to go next.
New guys
Andrew Ladd and Patrick Sharp have both been reunited as another central team..... only this time its on the blues. These two are arguably the biggest additions to the team. Sharp will provide great offense and defense as the new number one center and may find himself playing with his old teammate, Ladd. Andrew adds quite a pop to the LW postion and will be seeing some pk/pp time
Blake is coming over from winnipeg. He is just about to hit his prime and should be a great offensive addition to the team.
Say hello to the new defender, Tobias Enstrom. Tobias is an elite defender with a knack of shooting the puck. With a team already having a couple great defensive d man, it needed one with a offensive talent, and they got it. Also relativlely young, he is just starting it hit his prime.
The newest center on the blues is someone they've faced many times, Justin Abdelkader. The old divisional foe will look to add defense to the forwards, and is a great fit as a 4th line center.
Jussi Jokinen is also a new center, though he may be playing on the thrid line his offense will most likely help him find a spot on the pp.
Finally, the blues dipped into free agency to fill out the last RW spot. They were able to nab alex kovalev who will provide leadership and hopefully goals.
New GM melly has already changed the look of this time from the get-go and has stated that he isn't done changing the team. Guys he said we should look to be traded are: Colaiacovo, Langenbrunner, and McDonald.
He also said that he had been contacted from many teams on pietrangelo, backes, and stewart. However, he assured us that none of these three will be moving cheaply, and that he wishes to have the team compete this year.
